Challenge: Although Walnut Creek has a very successful shopping area downtown and the community is rated very highly as a place to live, the older part of downtown is struggling. Walnut Creek wanted a unique brand that could help unify its downtown and help define their focus, attracting more visitors from their large market area.
Solution: Roger and his team have been working with Walnut Creek to create a Branding Action Plan that will enable the city to claim the brand as the premier shopping and dining destination in the region. Walnut Creek will have five areas of focus: Fashion, international cuisine, art, healthy living, home and outdoor style . A series of week-long events will showcase these “pillars” of their brand, and many other recommendations will help the city fulfill their brand promise and tell the world . “The Walnut Creek Collection” portrays perfectly Walnut Creek’s premier brand.
