Challenge: Michigan City has incredible assets and has successfully attracted many visitors over the years with its beautiful beaches, outlet mall and casino. Wisely, they did not want to rest on their laurels. The city has been working on new development such as: the downtown, known as the Uptown Arts District, Washington Park, and other areas of the city. They needed a branding plan that would find the city's unique selling proposition, address downtown development, and unify various stakeholders & organizations on a strong direction moving forward.
Solution: Roger’s Branding program helped accomplish their desired goals. First, finding Michigan City's unique story was an exciting process. Michigan City is a combination of grit, creativity, entrepreneurialism and opportunity in a cool beach town, water recreation setting. We worked together to showcase the lifestyle you can have in Michigan City. Next, we worked with the City and Brand Development Committee to determine how to make the Uptown Arts District connected and just as important as the other main attractions in the city.
Young pioneers and artists should be heading for Michigan City, Indiana...like, as soon as possible.
