Challenge: Marion already has a great reputation for having excellent schools, being a great place to raise a family, as well as having good community events, a progressive attitude, and great parks and recreation opportunities. Marion asked our team to help them address a few different challenges: First, overcoming the perception that there is nothing to do in Marion. Second, the current appearance of their downtown corridor. Third, a limited retail mix and limited business hours.
Solution: Roger’s Community Branding program helped Marion put together their Branding, Development, and Marketing Action Plan. The goals for this project were: Targeted economic development, capitalizing on existing quality of life assets, and creating a unified identity within the community. The recommendations in their Action Plan addressed each of these goals.
Marion's brand promise: Marion is the best place in Iowa – and then the Midwest – to raise a family and grow a business. Here you can reach higher.
